On the 58th anniversary of the devastating earthquake, which in 1963 changed the face of Skopje, took 1070 lives, more than 3000 were injured and over 200 thousand citizens were left homeless, we pay tribute and glory to the victims with a wish for that kind of catastrophe to never happen again.
On this occasion we are reminded of the first artificial earthquake in the recent history of the Balkans and Macedonia, which on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Skopje earthquake, in July 2013 at its residential building in Novo Lisice, Skopje, was organized by Adora Engineering in cooperation with the renowned Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology IZIIS.
The artificial earthquake in 2013 of 5.5 degrees according to the European macroseismic Scale, did not cause any damage to the building and confirmed the high-level strength and seismic stability that all Adora buildings are characterized by. The event 58 years ago generated great interest and was followed by over 60 media reports. Adora Engineering organized another artificial earthquake on its residential building in the Municipality of Aerodrom, Skopje in 2014, when once again the high geomechanical stability and seismic resistance of the buildings built by the leader in high-rise construction in Macedonia with international reputation were proved scientifically and practically, and the standardized unified methodology that is applied to all residential and business buildings built by this construction and real-estate development brand was once again confrimed.
The 20-year tradition of the Adora Business Group continues in Serbia, on Zlatibor, where the complex "21st Century Zlatibor Residence, Spa & Wellness by Adora" is built with geomechanical stability of 100 Mpa, which is around 30% higher than the usual standards of the buildings in the Zlatibor region.
The construction brand Adora is a pioneer in introducing many innovations, state-of-the-art trends and the most advanced technologies in high-rise construction in the Balkans, for a safer, better, more economical and healthier life of the citizens who deserve a home by European standards.
