‟Recover Better, Recover Stronger, Recover Together,” is the main message from the sessions of the Global Agreement dedicated to tackling social challenges and advancing the goals of sustainable development, in the context of the three interconnected global crises: health, inequality and climate change. The Macedonian Network of member companies sent congratulatory messages to the new Executive Director today, stating that we are open and willing for cooperation in order to contribute to improving the current model of the association to solve the problems of smaller and developing economies.
At today's online session, the participants from 68 active local networks, including the Macedonian one, were introduced to the priorities of the action of this global family with the aim to support society in dealing with the pandemic Covid - 19, with emphasis on respect for human rights in labor relations. The new platforms for submitting the mandatory progress report and regulating the membership of companies were also presented, as part of the mechanisms for further achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, which will be also available to our members.
The main motto under which the UN Global Compact in 2000 was established by then-Secretary-General Kofi Annan, is the mobilization of all forces and resources to create a world we want to live in, and all of the activities of the members of this association are aimed at that goal.
