The most visited mountain In Serbia, this summer celebrated 130 years since the introduction of organized tourism. In this jubilee year, for the lovers of mountain hedonism, the apartment complex 21st Century Zlatibor Residence, Spa & Wellness by Adora was opened in Zlatibor, a Macedonian investment that offers its guests 107 modernly equipped apartments, as well as boutique contents that are an oasis of taste and elegance in a mountain setting.
“Every foreign investment means a lot to us, because it brings new content, because if we close ourselves off to just local frameworks, we cannot expect to have a more serious tourist offer. For the last 20 years we have been working on the development of the infrastructure, in order to open our destination and the Zlatibor mountain. As there are popular open cities throughout Europe and the world, we also want to perform differently on the foreign market, to make it known that there is an open mountain in Serbia, and in that spirit we sent the message to our tourists from the region. It is easiest to start from our surrounding, because there are no language barriers here, we were in the same country together, in recent years more and more tourists from Macedonia are coming to us, and we also sent a message that we want to see Macedonian investors in Zlatibor. The newly built 21st Century facility is truly something new and avant-garde, which will surely bring a new tourist offer at a highly elevated level for our domestic investors as well, because the facility is truly beautiful and created following the modern standards and requirements of today’s modern tourists. We hope that this will not be the only investment of the Adora brand in Zlatibor, which in itself will attract new tourists from Macedonia to Zlatibor. Serious investors like Adora are also recognized by the sense they have for the needs of the local community where they invest, creating a good atmosphere and a good synergy between local residents and investments. Adora showed a very good relationship and together with the Novak Djokovic Foundation and the local government built a new kindergarten in a rural local community, which in this part of Europe is perhaps unimaginable at a time when we have an outflow of young people leaving for Europe and to other better and more successful destinations, here we show the opposite, for which we are very grateful. Adora, which is known for its humanity in Macedonia, is an example of a positive practice in the Zlatibor region of not only thinking of making a profit, but also of giving back to the community. This way of functioning was also recognized by the Serbian investors, who should realize that they now have serious competition from the new hotel 21st Century Zlatibor by Adora.” – said Milan Stamatović, mayor of the Municipality of Chajetina, Zlatibor, in a statement to SRBTEL.MK
“By investing in the development of infrastructure and the valorization of micro-tourist sites, we get a favorable environment for opening new hotel facilities, new apartments, settlements and villas. One of those luxury buildings is the Adora Hotel, which recently started operating in the year of the jubilee, which is very significant for us, making Zlatibor stronger as a destination, strengthening its capacity with new, higher quality tourist products. I am sure that such hotel facilities motivate other hoteliers for new investments, which raises our rating and reputation as a destination and gives us a chance to contribute to the increase of tourist turnover with our activities. I believe that such modern facilities as 21st Century Zlatibor by Adora, which offer tourists a complete service, and not only a place to stay, but also additional contents, follow the trend and development of our destination. With the new projects that the Municipality of Chajetina and the Zlatibor Tourist Organization plan to develop in the coming period, we will raise Zlatibor to a higher level, we will set new standards and I am sure we will attract new investors and investments. Statistically speaking, in the tourist turnover, 70% of the guests who visit Zlatibor during the year are guests from Serbia, and 30% are guests from the region, where the largest percentage is the guests from the former Yugoslavian states, which also include guests from Macedonia. I am sure that, first of all, with the construction of the road infrastructure, such as the completion of the highway from Nish to the Serbian-Macedonian border and the construction of the Moravian Corridor, which is particularly important for us, the length of the journey will further decrease by about 1 hour. All those circumstances contribute to us being better connected, the communication between our two countries being easier and better, and that all goes in favor of expecting a larger number of guests from Macedonia in the coming period, which is extremely important for us. After the lull during the pandemic, I think that with the opening of new luxury hotels like this investment from Macedonia, now is the right time, a new chance, motive and reason, to be more present in your market and to expect in the coming years an increasing number of guests from Macedonia in Zlatibor”. – said Vladimir Zivanovic, director of the Tourist Organization Zlatibor.
